My inspiration

A slow, solitary walk through the woods is often the start of my journey. I am fascinated by the natural objects and scenes often overlooked, stepped on, or hurried past. The geometry of nature has always captivated me, and my mathematical mind rejoices at the arrangement of leaves, or the lines in the rock or sky. My experiences being in nature have been essential to my own life, and I love capturing the relationship others have with the environment as they take time from their lives to adventure outdoors.

Heather Cormons Photography: The ocean provides outdoor adventure to those willing to take on the capriciousness of the weather, with amazing clouds in the sky and large waves. A lone canoe surfs over the wave towards the ocean horizon.
Heather Cormons Photography: In the higher mountain elevations of the Wind River Range in Wyoming, the clear and calm water of Deep Lake perfectly reflects the snowy mountains as the day approaches sunset. A long backpacking adventure leads to this.
